current song: "Imaginary Folklore" by Nujabes
Well, since I have lacked a computer after staying at my mother's for the past week, I feel it's necessary to update this thing. A lot went on during my winter break. Some good things (IE: Seeing my friends and family, going on adventures, spending more time with Joe), some bad (IE: Crying a lot while in Pennsylvania.) But it's all in the past now. I'm looking more towards the future, and trying to create some "resolutions" for 2008. Why do people create resolutions anyway? Is it really all that necessary? I sit back sometimes though, and realize change can be good, and that I should make an effort to fix my flaws. My resolutions for 2008 are as follows:
1. Live life more fully.
2. Stop fucking cursing as much as I do, especially in public. It's really not polite and lady-like.
3. Try not to let my emotions get the best of me.
4. Travel.
5. Meet People.
6. Learn how to play the acoustic guitar.
7. Find a job.
8. Be a good samaritan.
9. Tell people how I really feel about them.
10. Find my true calling in life.
11. Cut my hair.
12. Spend more time with the people I love most.
13. Go to more concerts.
14. Follow my heart on almost everything.
15. Keep in touch with people who have gone far away, or are doing so.
I really hope to keep these up. I just want to experience more things in hopes of saying one day to someone "I was there. I did that." I can spend more time with those who matter most before they leave and I leave too.
Joe and I went to the Philadelphia museum of Art yesterday. I'd really like to go back again with him. I absolutely love it there. I love having someone who enjoys the same things I do, and we can bond and grow closer over such things. Sounds fucking cheesy as hell, but at least I'm being an honest person. I'd like to enjoy the short time we do have together to the largest extent possible. Right now, that's staying on track.
Nujabes always makes absolutely beautiful music. If you've never listened to his work, I highly suggest you do so.
